70013 gained fame as the last express passenger locomotive in service with BR. It worked the Manchester - Carlisle leg of the infamous 'Fifteen Guineas Special' on 11th August 1968 - the last ever BR standard gauge steam hauled train. Following a long spell of incarceration at Bressingham steam museum the NRM finally returned it to main line running condition. Britannias worked Cleethorpes - KGX service for a while in the early 1960s so seeing 70013 on the GN recalls these days of yore.

The first express passenger loco to be built in the UK for over 50 years entered main line passenger service in 2009. This collection is dedicated to her exploits on the former GNR.
